Silver-halide photo paper is the traditional paper type used for high-quality photo prints for hundreds of years. The technology is becoming more rare as the bright colors from inkjet become more sought after. This paper contains light-sensitive silver halide crystals that react to light exposure, creating a continuous-tone image with sharp details. This process results in archival-quality prints known for their smooth color and longevity.

Semi-matte

NORITSU - Made in Japan

Semi-matte is sometimes interchangeable with "Lustre." It's roughly half-way between a no-shine matte and glossy. The paper is textured which helps reduce glare.

Inkjet prints are made on "drylabs." Instead of light-sensitive paper and chemicals, drylab printers use inkjet technology with specialized inks and digital printing techniques.

Cold Press Bright, Textured, Matte

Cold Press Bright White is an acid free, 100% cotton rag paper with a bright white, textured surface. Extremely low reflectivity, similar to Enhanced Matte. This 21 mil, 340gsm paper has an extremely-high color gamut and black density perfect for artists and photographers looking for a bright white, textured surface.

Enhanced Matte

Matte photographic paper has no texture with extremely low reflectiveness and medium contrast. With a very flat finish, this bright white paper yields highly saturated images, while maintaining excellent highlight and shadow detail.
